Who We Are
ALPS Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered, not-for-profit, member-owned, member-directed financial cooperative. ALPS Federal Credit Union was established in 1960 by a group of local Alaska Lumber and Pulp mill workers to provide affordable loan and deposit services to members. In 1985, ALPS Federal Credit Union was approved by the National Credit Union Administration for a community charter to include the residents of Sitka, and in 2013 that charter was expanded to include all of Southeast Alaska.
Who can join ALPS?
Persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Haines Borough, Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Juneau City and Borough, Ketchikan City and Borough, Petersburg Census Area, Prince of Wales-Hyder Census Area, Sitka City and Borough, Skagway Municipality, Wrangell City and Borough, or Yakutat City and Borough in Alaska. Spouses of Persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union; employees of this credit union; members of their immediate families or households; and organizations of such persons.
